To kick off an event at Streams of Life Church, seven UJV children stood before the congregation to perform a reading that praised the Lord for the work He is doing. They included appreciation for the love and care the church provides and encouraged people to continue to be a part of their lives.
The drama led the way for UJV volunteers Bernard and Michael to share the upcoming Drive To Provide event on July 3rd. On this Sunday, the congregation is encouraged to donate a small item, from soap to a bed sheet, from beans to sugar... Please pray for God to touch the hearts of the people, that they would be a blessing to the UJV children.
Here is an excerpt of the drama that was read:
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
He alone is worthy of our praise
We freely praise the Lord for the work He began five years ago
Five years ago when we came to Kampala
When we came to Streams of Life
When we became the Uganda Jesus Village
He is faithful to complete it
He is faithful to complete the good work He began in us"
"We’ve grown up before your eyes
We’ve been a part of the church community
And you in return have been part of us
The UJV community
We are blessed by your presence
We are blessed by your love
Be a part of our lives
Be a part of the UJV"
Many of us know it is not easy to stand up before your friends and an entire church. These seven children demonstrated such strength and dedication. Thank you to Joel, Lamara Janet, Brenda, Concy, Joel, and Eric for the good work!
